HICE has developed a modular Cable Basket Design for the storage, handling and spooling of cable in offshore and onshore cable projects. The design is project-specific and can be tailored to suit the required cable specifications, dimensions and operational needs.

The Cable Basket is designed with a strong focus on quality, practicality and flexibility. Its modular construction allows the basket to be disassembled, making it easy to transport by road and efficient to mobilise for different project locations.

The basket is suitable for spooling cable in combination with the HICE Modular Cable System, but the design can also be adapted for spooling operations using SPMTs. Depending on the project requirements, the dimensions of the basket can be adjusted to match the cable type, cable volume and handling method.

For additional protection, the Cable Basket can be supplied with steel-protected walls and a top cover. An optional liftable version, including load certification, is also available upon request.
